As the Fifth Committee (Administrative and Budgetary) continues its second resumed session today, delegates will consider cross-cutting issues under their agenda item “administrative and budgetary aspects of financing UN peacekeeping operations”. 

Maria Costa, Deputy Controller and Director of the Finance Division, Office of Programme Planning, Finance and Budget, will introduce the Secretary-General’s report “Overview of the financing of the United Nations peacekeeping operations:  budget performance for the period from 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2024 and budget for the period from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026” (document A/79/788).

. Juliana Gaspar Ruas, Chair of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions (ACABQ), will introduce ACABQ’s corresponding report “Observations and recommendations on cross-cutting issues related to peacekeeping operations” (document A/79/724).
