Israel says it killed over 30 militants in Lebanon in past week

JERUSALEM, May 10 (Xinhua) -- Israel's military said on Sunday that it killed more than 30 militants in Lebanon over the past week.

In a statement, the military said Israeli forces struck about 70 Hezbollah sites in Lebanon.

Earlier on Sunday, the Israeli Air Force intercepted several rockets launched toward soldiers in southern Lebanon, the military said.

It added that it "will continue to operate against threats directed at Israeli civilians and soldiers."

Meanwhile, Lebanon's Health Ministry said two paramedics were killed and five others wounded on Sunday in Israeli airstrikes targeting medical response centers in southern Lebanon.
