Urgent: Israel conducts "warning airstrikes" on building in Beirut's southern suburbs: report

BEIRUT, March 28 (Xinhua) -- Israeli forces carried out two "warning airstrikes" on Beirut's southern suburbs on Friday after issuing threats to target the Hadath area, local broadcaster al-Jadeed reported.

The strikes prompted hundreds of residents to evacuate their homes, the report said.

The airstrikes are the first Israeli strikes against Beirut's suburbs since a ceasefire was reached on Nov. 27, 2024.
