CPC delegation visits Lebanon

BEIRUT, June 7 (Xinhua) -- At the invitation of the Lebanese Progressive Socialist Party, a delegation of the Communist Party of China (CPC) visited Lebanon from Tuesday to Wednesday.

The delegation was led by Qu Qingshan, a member of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Institute of Party History and Literature of the CPC Central Committee.

During the visit, Qu met with Nabih Berri, speaker of Lebanese Parliament and president of Amal Movement, Taymour Jumblatt, leader of Progressive Socialist Party, and Hanna Gharib, general secretary of Lebanese Communist Party.

He also attended the "Chinese-Lebanese Dialogue on Civilization Exchanges and Mutual Learning," giving a detailed introduction of the guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress to the Lebanese audience.

The Lebanese side highly appreciated the achievements of the 20th CPC National Congress and expressed willingness to strengthen exchanges and mutual learning with China, deepen practical cooperation between the two countries, and promote the development of bilateral relations.
