AMMAN -- Jordan on Monday summoned the Israeli ambassador in Amman to protest against the Israeli finance minister's public use of a "provocative" map that included the borders of the kingdom and the occupied Palestinian territories.
Also on Monday, Jordan's Foreign Ministry issued a statement, strongly slamming Bezalel Smotrich's behavior in violation of the 1994 peace treaty between Jordan and Israel. (Jordan-Israel-Protest)

SANAA -- The Yemeni government and the Houthi militia said on Monday that they agreed to swap more than 880 prisoners, including 15 Saudi nationals.
"We have now concluded the round of negotiations on the issue of prisoners and abductees in Berne, Switzerland. The deal includes more than 880 prisoners and abductees," Majid Fadail, a member of the government's negotiation team, said in a statement posted Monday on Twitter.
The official stated the deal included the release of four journalists sentenced to death by the Houthis, several prisoners of war from the Saudi-led coalition engaged in the Yemeni civil war, and relatives of some senior Yemeni officials. (Yemen-Prison-Swap)

KUWAIT CITY -- A state of emergency was declared by Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), a subsidiary of state-owned Kuwait Petroleum Corp, following an oil spill that occurred on Monday morning in the country.
Qusai Al-Amer, deputy CEO for Administrative Affairs and spokesperson of KOC, said in a statement that the company declared "a state of emergency," following an oil spill on land in the west of the country. (Kuwait-Oil-Spill)

BEIRUT -- Lebanon on Monday launched a 122-million-U.S. dollar project to construct a new terminal at the Rafic Hariri International airport in the capital of Beirut as the passenger numbers continue to increase.
Ali Hamieh, Lebanese public works and transport minister, said that the construction of the new terminal will be completed in the first quarter of 2027 and will be managed by daa International, an Irish company specializing in managing and operating international and regional airports.
